Since relocating to Jindabyne in Alpine NSW, she has established Alpine Neurotherapy.
Lara has a Graduate Diploma in Psychology from the University of NSW and will be continuing with her Post Graduate Psychology study after a well deserved break from study between degrees. She has studied in the USA learning how to read EEG and QEEG assessment as well as ERP assessment and analysis; and a diverse range of neurostimulation techniques including tACS, tDCS, tRNS and pEMF.
In September 2022 Lara was invited to present the results of her neurofeedback practice at the Neurofield International Conference in Santa Barbara USA. Lara has appeared on Sky News being interviewed by Erin Molan along with Dr Dogris in the hope of bringing awareness to Australia about this state of the art therapy for all Australians.
As well as speaking at conferences both internationally and domestically Lara regularly is invited to speak to groups for Mental Health information awareness for clinicians in regional areas discussing case studies and Neurostimulation.
LARA'S STORY
Lara first started working in the Neurotherapy space 19 years ago after receiving neurotherapy for her own learning difficulties. It wasn’t until her own child needed some assistance with Neurofeedback a few years ago that she decided to change careers and start a Neurotherapy business of her own.
Lara has always felt passionately about wanting to help and reassure anyone with learning difficulties, ADHD or any other disability, that they’re no different from anyone else. "We just think differently and that is something to nurture and be proud of".
Having completed a Masters of Business Management from Charles Sturt University, Lara decided to enrol in the Graduate Diploma in Psychology through the University of New South Wales in order to extend her knowledge of psychological functioning which is integral to her Neurotherapy practice.
